The war in Ukraine poses an immediate and growing threat to the lives and well-being of the country’s 7.5 million children. Humanitarian needs are multiplying by the hour as fighting intensifies. Children have been killed. Children have been wounded. More than 1 million children have fled Ukraine as families desperately seek safety and protection.

Homes, schools, orphanages, and hospitals have all come under attack. Civilian infrastructure like water and sanitation facilities have been hit, leaving millions without access to safe water. UNICEF is working with partners to provide vital humanitarian supplies, and to reach vulnerable children and families with essential services, including health, education, protection, water and sanitation.

NlightN Notecards Creates Cards for UNICEF Donations

Here in the comfort of my studio, my heart hurts when I watch the events in the Ukraine unfold. How can I help? I wanted to do more than send in a donation. I wanted to appeal to friends and family to join in as well.

I created a new version of my popular Sunflower card. The Sunflower is the national symbol and major crop of the Ukraine. The new version has a new perspective and includes a blue background with the quote: the road to freedom is bordered with sunflowers. How appropriate.

I also decided to create a second card that is an abstract representation of the Ukrainian national colors overlaid with the symbols Faith, Hope, Love in gold watercolor.

I am offering theses cards with envelopes for a limited time. Cards are $10 each and can be ordered in any combination. Free shipping will be offered on orders over $50.00

Net proceeds will go directly to UNICEF.
