My Father’s Day cards of late, lean on the humorous side. You may recall The Fungi?

This year, I was attracted to creating a watercolor egg and decided to use it as a Father’s Day card. Then the fun began.
My husband loves to make eggs for breakfast especially when our adult children come to visit. And he makes great eggs. His eggs are often accompanied by bacon and fresh home made bread. (Maybe a future watercolor will include these delights.)
Along with good food, we are often entertained with by Dad jokes and limericks. We may groan but we love them – they crack us up. (Pun intended.)
When I showed him the watercolor I was working on and the message I had written for the inside the card, he groaned.

And then the fun began. I could see I tickled his funny bone and the wheels were turning.
“What if I wanted to be hard boiled?”
“How about eggs Benedict?”
And so on…..Well, Happy Father’s Day. Enjoy and celebrate that Dad of yours.
