Have you ever felt that all your energy has been sucked out of you for no reason? Or you wake up bursting with energy only to find that it leaves you in about 30 minutes? Or you have all the intentions of getting through that “to do” list today and to experience the joy of checking things off but get distracted?
Lately, I feel like I have too many things to do and at the same time, not enough things to do. I have all the time there is and and at the same time not enough time. I want to be busy but then I don’t want to be burdened by a schedule. YIKES. I am a living paradox.

While trying to analyze what’s going on, I realized that I was losing an appreciation for what IS. So instead of questioning whether to organize my studio or to embrace the mess or whether to fret about anything (and believe me I can be a master at that), I decided to pick up my brush and just practice my art without any goals except “to appreciate.” Lemons are an easy start and I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome for a new greeting card and a reminder to enjoy and appreciate the moment. May your summer be filled with zest and that you squeeze the best out of each day and spike that lemonade.
